serves 4-6
- 2-3 slices bacon, chopped and browned
- 4 cups shredded cabbage
- 2 chopped apples
- 2/3 cup cider vinegar
- 2 cups hot water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbs. sugar
Combine all ingredients and simmer gently until cabbage is tender but slightly crisp. Serve warm!
