It was a hit for Christmas dinner!
Very easy to prepare
Meats
Chicken A La King
Bertie often made this dish. Our families gathered for Sunday dinner every week, alternating between the Taylors and Bartons. It’s a good budget meal that’s quick!
Quick Chicken and Swiss Enchiladas
This is my faster version of the other recipe
Swiss Chicken Enchiladas
I found this in Bound to Please, Boise’s Junior League cook book.
Teriyaki Steak Marinade
This is a thicker emulsion that coats the meat. The mixture will keep for two weeks.
Noah’s Ark Meat Marinade
Fred’s mom created the title, because the original recipe had two of everything. She used it for round steak cut 2″ thick. I usually cut it in half for one or two flank steaks.
It’s a great marinade that doesn’t use any oil!
Easy Baked Pork Chops
An old favorite that Marien served recently this fall (September 2010) at a family gathering.
This is great for a large crowd.
Apricot-Russian Chicken
Marien prepares this often for company and at the lake. Easy recipe that can be prepared in the morning and refrigerated until time to bake!
Brown Sugar Glazed Pork
Annie found this. It’s easy to prepare and very tasty. Think she saw it in a cooking magazine in Atlanta. It was paired with Maple Sweet Potatoes.
Chicken Marbella
A good dish to do ahead for a crowd!
