Cranberry-Orange Bread with Grand Marnier Glaze
I found this in the December 2006 issue of Sunset magazine and made it as Christmas gifts. The next year I made something else for gifts, and a few made it clear they had been looking forward to The Cranberry Bread! Freezes well wrapped tightly and placed in zip-lock bag. EBB
Cranberry Orange Bread
This is in the original cook book. Jane and Ellen made this over Thanksgiving break in Beaverton their first year of teaching. Ellen was fogged in for an extra day. From Oregon she had to arrange for a sub by phone for two days until she could get back to classes in Boise! … the “olden days” decades before cell phones and email!!!
Banana Bread
This was in the original cook book. It is Marien’s via Lorna Horton.
Maple Sweet Potatoes
This appeared with a recipe Annie found for Brown Sugar Glazed Pork.
Brown Sugar Glazed Pork
Annie found this. It’s easy to prepare and very tasty. Think she saw it in a cooking magazine in Atlanta. It was paired with Maple Sweet Potatoes.

Vegetable Tian
This is an eye-catching dish that can be prepared a few hours ahead and popped in the oven for entertaining. A little over-cooking doesn’t harm it. It goes well with anything on the BBQ and just needs a salad. From Ina Garten’s Barefoot in Paris.
Belgian Waffles
This was a favorite when the girls had overnight guests. Just had a request from one of Annie’s friends for the recipe!
