THE Olive Bread

serves 10-12

1 loaf French bread, sliced in half lengthwise (like a sandwich)

2 6-oz. packages cream cheese

1/4 cup butter

2 Tbs. maoynnaise

1/2 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. oregano

2 Tbs. parsley

4 small cloves garlic, crushed

1 large jar stuffed green olives

parmesan cheese

paprika

1. In a food processor or bowl combine cream cheese, butter, mayonnaise, salt, oregano, parsley and garlic.  Mix until smooth.

2. Divide mixture evenly and spread generously over the two halves of bread.

3. Slice olives and arrange in horizontal rows on top of the cheese spread.

4. Sprinkle generously with Parmesan cheese and garnish with paprika.

5. Wrap each half in foil, leaving the top uncovered.  Bake at 400 for 20 minutes.

6. Slice and serve immediately.  Note: Can be sliced before wrapping in foil.
