Serves 8-10
1 loaf French bread, sliced in one-inch slices
1 cube margarine or butter (half and half is best)
2 Tbs. chopped parsley
2 Tbs. chopped green onions, including tops
1 Tbs. celery leaves, chopped
1 tsp. fine herbs ( Herbes de Provence or Italian mix: oregano, thyme, rosemary, basil)
2 Tbs. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. salt
1. Mix butter, parsley, onions, celery leaves, herbs, lemon juice and salt until smooth.
2. Spread on each slice and wrap loaf in foil. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes. Serve warm.
