4 cups tortilla strips, broken into 1  1/2″ pieces.

4 cups Crispix cereal

1  3.5 oz pkg. microwave popcorn, popped

3 cups pecans

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1 Tbs. chili powder

1/4 tsp. cinnamon

1/8 tsp. cayenne (red pepper)

1/2 cup light corn syrup

1. Combine tortilla strips, cereal, popcorn and pecans in a bowl.

2. In a small saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, chili powder, cinnamon, cayenne, and corn syrup.  Heat to a boil and stir for five minutes.

3. Pour syrup over dry ingredients and toss together gently.  Spread on a flat pan.

4. Cover and bake at 300 for one hour, stirring every 20 minutes.  Uncover and bake and stir another hour.  Cool.  Stir, Store in a tightly covered container.
