Makes about 4 cups jelly

1 cup hot jalapeno chilies, coarsely chopped (could use canned)

1 medium green bell pepper, coarsely chopped

1  1/4 cups vinegar, divided

6 cups sugar

8 oz. Certo

3 or 4 drops green coloring

1. In blender mix jalapenos, green pepper and 1/4 cup vinegar.

2. Pour pepper mixture into saucepan and add sugar and remaining vinegar.

3. Stir and cook slowly, skimming as needed,  until liquid is clear and starts to thicken. Add Certo and boil for one minute.

4. Stir in coloring and cool and store in jars. Recipe suggests baby food jars. Store in refrigerator or seal with wax.

5. Arrange over bar of cream cheese and serve with Triscuits or favorite cracker.
